The recommended images have a set Idle-PC value that can be found on the recommended router page. I highly recommend using Cisco IOS images that are recommended by the GNS3 team. It is very easy to get a hold of them this way, and I don’t know of a network team that would say no if you ask for an IOS image to learn on in a Virtualized environment instead of a production one! The route images I will be using today are the 3640 () and the 7200 (7.bin). However, I will implore you to take the almost as easy, legal method, ask your network team!
